Fall Update (November 27, 2006)

Fall is in full bloom.  The trees are changing to beautiful oranges, reds and yellow hues.  With the onset of colder weather, my thoughts turn to the books that I can cozy up to and read while drinking something hot...hot chocolate, coffee or my favorite herbal tea.

The past month has been a flurry of craft shows, expos and in-house book sales at corporate locations.  It's really been fun meeting people and introducing our books face-to-face.  During my travels I met many women struggling very hard to earn money to meet their fianncial obligations.  More and more men and women are looking at additional ways of helping them make ends meet.

In the corporate setting, I have an opportunity to watch the faces of individuals come and go.  There are many faces that look as if they are carrying the weight of the world on their shoulder.  I usually set up early in the morning around 8:30 or 9:00 am.  Workers come into the cafeteria for their breakfast or just coffee.  Some look over at my table and nod or say good morning, but there are many who stare ahead, as if they are afraid to make eye contact.  I often wonder about that.  Are they also people who go through life not seeing the needs of their fellowman.

I decided to help them out. As I sell my wares, I will meet the other vendors and find out about their products and services. This will give everyone an opportunity to find out about their products and services from a safe venue. You won't have to have conversation them, and you can make a decision about their products and service in the privacy of your home. If you are someone who needs to find additional safe ways to make additional income come back often. I will be setting up a separate section under Gladstone's Community for any new businesses that I come across.

My prayer for you is for you to achieve your dreams, and while you achieve them, you help others on the way.

In the meantime, if you need encouragement as you struggle to fulfill your dreams, why not send yourself an encouragement card. I found a wonderful link of free greeting cards. Go on, treat yourself!

Just for Fun

I receive a lot of chain email. I use to delete them, but then I started to collect them because they were really well written, and inspirational. I'd like to share them with you. Most inspirational email is sent without an authors' name. If you write inspirational poetry or email, always sign them. Click on the following links.
